For centuries, humans have viewed bodily waste as nothing more than a biological byproduct. But when a team of scientists at a secret research facility investigates human feces at a microscopic and spiritual level, they uncover a terrifying truth: the body expels more than just digested food.
Dr. Elias Moreau and his team are conducting a study on gut bacteria when they notice irregularities in their samples. While food is processed and digested, the composition of human waste reveals something impossible to explain with traditional science. A breakthrough occurs when an experimental scan detects a foreign residue in the feces, something that reacts not to chemical processes, but to spiritual energy.
Further investigation connects this residue with ancient rituals and spiritual texts, revealing that human excrement is not just physical waste but a form of spiritual purging. The body isn’t merely expelling food, but purging repressed memories, trauma, guilt, and emotions—unacknowledged pieces of the self. Every bowel movement is, in essence, a subconscious act of forgetting.
However, upon realizing this, the team unknowingly disrupts the process. Their ability to expel this “filth” is halted.
At first, the impact is subtle. The scientists begin experiencing intrusive memories, old guilt, and shame resurfacing. They can no longer release their inner turmoil in the form of waste, and the process of expulsion halts entirely.
As the situation worsens, the real horror begins. Their minds start to defecate inwardly—thoughts become twisted into gnawing knots of doubt, paranoia, and overwhelming revulsion. They can no longer function normally. Their work turns incoherent, speech becomes nonsensical, and every attempt to express themselves results in distressing and repulsive sensations. One scientist, Dr. Rowe, refuses to eat, fearing it will trap more spiritual filth inside him. Another, Dr. Patel, starts to claw at her own skin, feeling as though the waste is building up inside her head.
Soon, they begin to physically rot from the inside out.
As the facility descends into madness, a broadcast leaks their findings to the outside world. Instead of causing widespread panic, the truth is met with instinctive denial. The human mind subconsciously purges the information, refusing to accept it as a form of self-preservation. This final act of mental defense is humanity’s ultimate line of protection against a terrifying truth: the body’s waste is not just biological but deeply spiritual.
For those who glimpse the truth, however, there is no turning back. Their minds will never be able to cleanse themselves again. The cycle of denial has been broken, and their bodies no longer function as they should.
In the end, they are left to realize the most horrific truth of all: The smell of human waste was never just a physical odor. It was the scent of repressed sins and hidden guilt—the essence of everything humanity refuses to acknowledge about itself.
