#33 Spinal Fusion

Patient presented with a minor fracture in the left wrist. Dr. Bad Bad, interpreting an upside-down X-ray, performed emergency spinal fusion surgery. Upon realizing the error, he reportedly said “Well at least your back won’t break as easy now”

Lawsuit Status: Jury deliberating. Hospital argues that the patient now has “an incredibly sturdy spine” and should be grateful.
