This year, fashion turned into a cracked funhouse, forcing wearers into an endless loop of self-reflection—literally!
The runways shimmered with jagged mirror shards, stitched onto everything from cocktail dresses to combat gear.
House of Blaylock debuted metallic paillettes that clattered like ominous wind chimes, while Grimshaw & Sons sent models down the runway wrapped in reflective trench coats, warping their bodies into eerie, liquid silhouettes.
At Lestrange, models donned “Forget-Me-Not” brooches—oversized mirrors that caught glimpses of the audience’s faces instead of their own.
Meanwhile, Harkwell’s glass corsets turned bodies into walking surveillance devices, catching every glare, every grimace, every existential crisis.
Critics are calling it a commentary on digital self-obsession, but it feels more like a warning.
As one designer scrawled onto a mirrored maxi skirt in blood-red lacquer;
“Objects in reflection may be emptier than they appear”
